1. Look through the list of inactive chapters.
2. If you attend a school with an inactive chapter, follow the procedures for a chapter reactivation.
3. If you attend a college or university that has not ever had a chapter, follow the procedures to charter a chapter.

Since 1943, more than 200 chapters on NBS and AERho have gone inactive. A number of the chapters went inactive because the institution's academic program had changed, the department was phased out, the school closed, a critical mass of student-members dwindled, the advisor left, or for other reasons. In the past decade, more than 30 chapters have reactivated and rejoined NBS.
