Amanda Ott

AmandaOttAmanda Ott started her career in communications while a student at UC Berkeley, working on the student newspaper, the Daily Californian. In Washington, D.C., her communications work began on Capitol Hill, first working for her hometown member of Congress before lending her experience to House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer. For the last four years, she has served as the Senior Governmental and Political Outreach Manager for the American Society of Anesthesiologists, where she helps physicians communicate with Congress and understand how to be involved in the legislative process. Amanda currently serves as the Vice President of Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR), previously serving as the Pro Bono Committee Co-Chair. In addition to WWPR, Amanda is on the communications committee for Women in Government Relations, is public policy chair for the DC branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), led the communications for the DC branch of the 2017 Women's March on Washington, and participates in her co-op board.
