Gary Lico

GaryLicoGary Lico started GARYLICO.TV in November, 2013, rebranding the company from LILOLME.TV The prime directive is the exclusive global distribution of FORENSIC FILES (aka MEDICAL DETECTIVES), a program developed with Medstar Television. It is the first and longest running true crime series in television. A 40-year programming veteran, Lico served as President and CEO of CABLEready, founded in 1992 as the first company to represent existing libraries and develop original ideas for cable TV. Lico brought to cable such hit franchises as INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO, FORENSIC FILES, MONSTER QUEST and dozens more.

Prior to 1992, he held executive and sales positions at Columbia Pictures Television (now Sony Pictures Entertainment), Katz Communications, TVS Television and SFM Entertainment. Lico also hosted and produced A NEW DAY, a morning talk-show in Milwaukee, WI.

Lico is a sought after speaker, mentor and board member: past Vice President, CINE Board of Directors; past president and current board member, NBS/AERho; past RealScreen Summit Advisory Board; benefactor and adjunct at Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he is also the Vice Chair of the School’s Advisory Board; benefactor to Central Michigan University’s School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. A career-long member and contributor to NATPE, Mr. Lico spearheaded the NATPE Food Project for many years, is a past member of the NATPE Board of Directors and is a current trustee of the NATPE Educational Foundation.

Mr. Lico received his M.S. in TV/Radio/Film from Syracuse and his B.A.A. in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts from CMU. He lives in North Carolina with his wife, Annette Bergh.
